Your group will design a remembrance monument or memorial about Canadian First World War Veterans.
- Discuss how you want your monument or memorial to look. Will it be made of brick, metal, rock or some other material? How will it symbolize remembrance? Will it have names engraved on it? Will it be big or small?
- Sketch your monument design onto a small piece of paper.
- Next, draw your monument onto the poster paper and use the markers and/or pencil crayons to colour it in. OR- Create a small scale model of your monument!
- When you are finished you will present your monument to the whole group, so plan what you will say in advance.
